How PayPal Sets and Applies Transaction Limits
PayPal applies two layers of limits: the ceiling PayPal itself sets on your account based on verification status, and any separate per-transaction or daily maximums that apply when PayPal is used as a funding rail. An unverified PayPal account carries a lower cumulative send cap, while a verified account — where PayPal has confirmed your bank or card details — unlocks a
substantially higher ceiling. When you initiate a deposit through the PayPal option in our cashier, the amount you enter must fall within both your current PayPal limit and our own per-transaction range. Amounts outside either boundary will be declined at the PayPal step, not at our end, so checking your PayPal standing first saves the round-trip.
